As our neighbours in Okotoks Rotary stated, the international students all had a great weekend in the Foothills. "It was the first weekend spent in Canada for this year's Inbound Rotary Youth Exchange students and they truly got the Alberta experience.
The students, who represent France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Brazil, Chile, and the Netherlands camped just outside High River, visited Bar U Ranch, went kayaking and horseback riding, and attended their first-ever drive-in movie.
Despite knowing different languages and coming from very different parts of the world, they became fast friends who will meet several more times during their year living and going to school in Canada. But until then, each of the kids has now returned to their Alberta communities where their local Rotary Club is supporting them as they live and attend school in Alberta for this year."
They also helped us with our flag installs on Saturday, and enjoyed seeing some of the area and local highlights.
